Tourism and culture will not be lost if it sale,p people come and take a breath clean air, beautiful scenery, waste a lot of many in here, they leave Borobudur with sweet memories, talk to friends about it, after that they will come again to borobudur with them friends, Dharmono said, he’s also the President Director of PT Jababeka.

He said, until this day tourism is still become the third largest revenue of the country after oil and gas, and textiles. Earnings countries from tourism is around seven billion U.S dollars.

Visitors to borobudur currently reach about two million people that consist of ten percent of foreign tourism and ninety percent from domestic tourism.

Rates for domestic tourism to borobudur Rp. 12.000,- for every person, 10 U.S dollars or about one hundred dollars for foreign tourism.

If the number of foreign tourism reach 10 million people every year and as long as they stay in Indonesia their spent a thousand U.S dollars, the foreign exchange earned could reach 10 billion U.S dollars.
That is just the borobudur, oil and gas income is approaching13 billion U.S Dollars. It means, how big the ability to attract revenue from the borobudur.

He said, serious effort to develope borobudur tourism need support from reliable human resources.
